Gal to Gal Foundation Virtual Walk

The Design-her Gals’ website is sponsoring the Second Annual Gal to Gal Foundation Virtual Walk and fundraiser to benefit Stage IV breast cancer patients and their families during the month of October. FranklinCovey is also a lead sponsor.

The walk features animated “Walking Pals,” created by participants who design a Walking Guy or Gal, make a donation and then join the virtual walk in a particular cityscape that changes daily. Animated walkers may register online any time in October for a $5.00 contribution or more at www.galtogalwalk.org and then walk in teams, with friends, family and with celebrity contributors.

Such notable celebrities who are participating this year include: Larry King, Stephen Covey, Marg Helgenberger, Molly Sims, Maria Sansone, Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Dayna Devon, Kim Zimmer and many more. Thousands of women and men have joined in the walk, which began in the virtual city of Boston and ends in San Francisco. It will last 31 days, travel to 29 other cities nationwide and help The Gal to Gal Foundation reach its goal to raise more than $250,000.

“We encourage everyone to register on-line and participate in this walk,” said Cherell Jordin, senior director of product management, FranklinCovey Products. “We all know someone who has suffered or is suffering with this disease. We can make a difference by making a contribution in their honor.”
